How to combat Shadow Banning on Social Media with Project Broadcast

The dreaded shadow ban, algorithm adjustment, post limitations, post deprioritization, consistency issues…you name it, we’ve heard about it! If you currently use a Facebook group for your business, these are all phrases that have caused friction in your ability to communicate. So, how do you extract all your contacts from Facebook in order to communicate with them in other ways? Unless you have a fancy extraction tool that may or may not cost a lot of money, this is not an easy thing to do and if you are shadow banned you aren’t even able to access your contacts within that group. Let’s fix that, shall we?

First, let’s grab all of your Facebook group customers who want to engage and learn from you! The easiest way to do this is to provide a keyword and an irresistible resource or giveaway.

Example Post in Facebook:

“Hi everyone! I’ve noticed I’m not able to reach as many of you when you ask questions here. My new business line: 555-555-5555, you can text me there anytime! I plan to send out weekly tips, promos, giveaways, etc from there! You can text “excite” to my new business line, 555-555-5555, and I’ll send you my Top 3 steps to XYZ…..oh! And I’ll pick a random winner from there to win a $25 gift card to Amazon!”

But not all of my contacts will text me, Johanna,….and I agree, they won’t. That’s why you do this type of post twice a week for two weeks, or however long you mention the giveaway is for.  Remember, you want to engage your ENGAGERS. If someone doesn’t text you, do you really want to spend money, energy, and time on them? By posting a couple times, offering value, and a giveaway you are providing them multiple opportunities to be interested and to gain something from the action you are expecting from them.

I absolutely agree with using social media to lead generate and prospect! I also think it’s a great tool to meet people where they are at. With your contacts returning to work outside of the home and recent legislation on its way to ban Tik Tok from government devices and even some states, social media shouldn’t be your main mode of communication with your customers.
